The Donovan Martin Foundation

About Us

Established in 2018, The Donovan Martin Foundation has worked with over 30 universities and organizations globally, training students and passionate people in the art of journalism and news reporting. As the world is diverse, we have taught people in Canada, America, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, China, Nigeria, Sudan, Ukraine, and Bulgaria.

We understand that some people desire positive change on many social and political issues but do not have the resources or structure to make it happen. This is also important in the areas of sports and athletics, where exclusion still happens. The Donovan Martin Foundation is all about inclusion and acceptance; therefore, making our services and platform free of charge as change and a humanistic philosophy should be a global mandate.

Mission

To provide training in the art of journalism and creative writing for people and organizations passionate about advocating for positive, meaningful cultural and social change. The focus is to provide a platform to help members of the Afro-Caribbean and BIPOC community to be in positions to have their voices amplified on a global scale by working with the organization’s sister news network.

To help them communicate clearly and effectively with the mainstream social justice system. Our ultimate goal is to instill an unbreakable bond and unwavering self-confidence that the words they write are a precipice toward meaningful, lasting change.
